Trai awaits revised plan; BSNL, Reliance Infocomm claim rates are non-discriminatory
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) and Reliance Infocomm today said the tariffs being offered by them were non-discriminatory and in compliance with the norms set by the telecommunications regulator.
The clarifications came after cellular operators complained that the tariffs offered by BSNL and Reliance discriminated against cellular subscribers.
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) last week directed all service providers to set tariffs that were non-discriminatory and consistent with the interconnect charges.
