Satish Chandra Agrawal, BJPs Rajya Sabha MP, who served as minister of state for finance in the Morarji Desai government, died here yesterday following a massive heart attack.
Agrawal, 70, suffered a massive cardiac arrest while returning home on foot from his brothers residence yesterday morning. He fell unconscious on the road, family sources said. He was immediately rushed to the intensive care unit of the SNS Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
Agrawal leaves behind his wife, two sons and a daughter.
Expressing shock and grief over Agrawals death, President KR Narayanan said his erudite speeches and insightful interventions had enriched the proceedings of both Houses of Parliament.
