Sc-St Forum Demands Ban On Shouries Book

The Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes parliamentary forum yesterday demanded that the government should ban Arun Shouries controversial book on BR Ambedkar, Worshipping False Gods.

Banning and confiscating the book was necessary in order to maintain peace and harmony, forum president G Venkatswamy told newsmen after a general body meeting of the forum.

S Hanumanthappa, MP, upheld a writers freedom of expression but argued that this freedom ends from where my nose begins. He said that SC\ST leaders wuld individually organise conferences to counter Shouries aurguments against Ambedkar.

The topic of these conference would be Is Ambedkar a false god?
