The entire state has been put under tight security to quell possible violenec in the event of imposition of Presidents rule. Para military forces have been deployed in far-flung areas and the army has been asked to stand by to maintain law and order.
According to sources, senior officials of the Danapur Cantonment received a telephone message from Jabbalpur to stay alert and if required, assist the state police force.
Similar messages have been communicated to the military cantonments of Gaya, Ranchi and Ramgarh, sources said.
The state government on Tuesday deployed 27 companies of para-military comprising the CISF, CRPF and the RPF in the state.
