The Shri Amaranath Yatra Sanghursh Samiti (SASS) has decided to postpone its public rally after three people were killed and four people taken hostage in Mishriwala area of Jammu this morning.
The group spearheading the agitation in Jammu for the re-transfer of land to Amarnath shrine board said, “the rally has been cancelled based on the request of the authorities in view of infiltration of militants and their attacks on outskirts of the city in which some people were killed.”
The samiti had planned to hold a public rally at Parade Grounds here today.
Three people, including an army officer, were killed and at least five others injured here today by militants who had infiltrated into the Indian territory from across the border under the cover of firing from the Pakistani side.
