Task Force Mooted To Curb Fmcg Duplicates

The Maharashtra government has announced the setting up of a task force (read enforcement group) comprising law enforcement agencies and industry representatives to curb the mushrooming duplicate industry in the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

It is estimated that the Indian government suffers an annual loss of up to Rs 900 crore in lost revenue to the fake industry.
