Tourism in Mauritius to get a boost

The tourism authority is expecting 60,000 Indian tourists this year, compared to 58,000 tourists last year

To promote Mauritius as the ideal destination for leisure, adventure and weddings, the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority is conducting roadshows in four Indian cities - Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad and Kolkata.

The tourism authority is expecting 60,000 Indian tourists this year, compared to 58,000 tourists last year.

According to Vijaye Haulder, Deputy Director, Mauritius Promotion Tourism Authority, "India is a key market for tourism and we are confident of achieving our targets in the current year."
