Two units of Rajasthan nuke plant get financial sanction

The Department of Atomic Energy's (DAE) Regulatory Board has given financial sanction for setting up of the 7th and 8th unit of the Rajasthan Atomic Power Station (RAPS) at Rawatbhata, 30 km from here.     

The sanction was accorded recently and work would commence in the next two months, RAPS site Director C P Jhamb said here today.     

At a school function here, Jhamb said all preparations at the site of the project have been completed and a labour force of nearly 11,000 people would be needed for their construction.
