Uf Trying For Solution: Mooopanar

Tamil Maanila Congress president G K Moopanar yesterday said Prime Minister I K Gujral and other United Front leaders were making efforts to find an amicable solution to the crisis facing the UF government in view of the CBIs decision to prosecute Bihar Chief Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav., in the Rs 950-crore fodder scam.

Answering questions from reporters at Sathyamurthy Bhavan, the TMC headquarters here Moopanar said he had spoken twice to Yadav over phone but did not disclose the nature of his telephonic conversation.

However, he said the uf government was aware of the problem and was attempting to find an amicable solution to it. (many janata dal leaders had expressed that if they were in mr yadavs place, they would have resigned).

Asked about the congress joining the uf, the tmc leader said mr gujral had to deal with the matter. however, the issue of congress joining the front cannot be dealt with in a days time. We will have to wait and watch, he said. Pti kpm bn sln ap trg 05061507
