To provide fertiliser to farmers at reasonable rates during rabi season, Uttar Pradesh government has issued instructions to authorities concerned for intensive checking of establishments engaged in its distribution to prevent hoarding and black-marketing.
"All the district magistrates have been directed to ensure adequate availability and distribution of chemical fertilisers to farmers ahead of rabi season," principal secretary agriculture Rohit Nandan said here.
He said that to check black-marketing, hoarding and smuggling of fertiliser in areas adjacent to Indo-Nepal border, directives have been issued to conduct random checking of distributors.
