A China bound Vietnamese vessel, which had developed technical snag and started to tilt in the Bay of Bengal, 150 km off the Paradip port has returned to the port safely last night.
The 22 crew members of the vessel are safe and the said vessel is out of danger, said sources at the Paradeep Port Trust (PPT).
This is the second ship mishap off the Paradeep coast in last three days. On Wednesday, a Mongolian vessel, Black Rose, carrying iron ore had sunk five km from the Paradeep port.
Though 26 of the 27 crew members of the ill-fated vessel were rescued a Ukrainian engineer who was aboard the ship is yet to be traced.
PPT sources said that the Vietnam vessel called Vialline Migsty has returned to anchorage of Paradeep port safely by 1:20 am. The marine officials have kept a close tab on this vessel and precautionary measures have been taken to avert any mishap in the sea.
