West Bengal polls: Phase-6

Association for Democratic Reforms scrutinised the affidavits of 169 candidates contesting the 6th phase Assembly polls in West Bengal to assess criminalisation and financial power in the polls. Here is a snapshot:

Its findings show that 33 (20%) candidates have declared criminal cases

Crorepati Candidates
Out of the 169 candidates analysed, 15 (9%) have declared assets worth over Rs 1 crore

Women candidates
18 (11%) women candidates are contesting in Phase-6 of the West Bengal Assembly elections this year
