AINRC revived schemes for political gains: DMK

It is claimed that weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the scheme was revived and this was to garner votes for AINRC

Opposition DMK today charged the AINRC government with implementing welfare schemes only for political and electoral gains.

DMK Puducherry unit convener M A S Subramanian citied the free rice scheme, among others, to substantiate his charge.

He claimed the scheme, operated through public distribution system, was suspended for a long time.

But weeks ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the scheme was revived and this was to garner votes for AINRC,he alleged and announced his party's plan to launch a stir "to condemn the shifting stand on the part of the government.
