The people of Bangalore want development and will vote for the BJP, Ananth Kumar, the party candidate from Bangalore South Lok Sabha seat, said here Thursday.

"People want to throw out the incumbent government (Congress) because of their 10 years of misrule. They want to bring in a stable government under the leadership of Narendra Modi... they will vote for development," Ananth Kumar said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party leader faces Congress candidate Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys, in the constituency.

Nilekani told the media he was "confident" of winning.
