"BJP's hidden agenda was Ram temple issue and they want to spread communalism in the entire country for which they had chosen Varanasi as its centre to commence," Yadav told reporters here.
The JD(U) chief is in the temple town to campaign for AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, who is taking on BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi from here, saying his party is extending support to Kejriwal in order to save the country from communal forces.
Yadav is holding various public meetings in the city in which he is appealing the people to support Kejriwal and not to get fooled by the so called Gujarat development model.
He visited the residence of late environmentalist Veer Bhadra Mishra at Tulsi ghat here to pay him a floral tribute.
Yadav said, in his political career spanning over 40 years, he had raised the issue of Ganga several times in the parliament, for implementing measues so that the river may be saved from getting polluted and added that if the river won't be saved then people might face water crisis in near future.
