Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has urged people of Amethi to defeat Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi to end dynastic rule from the country.

Addressing a rally here yesterday, Kejriwal said dynasty politics should end in order to weed out corruption from the country.

"I congratulate the people of Amethi and people of the entire country will be thankful to Amethi if they relieve the country of this family (Nehru-Gandhi dynasty)," Kejriwal said.

Kejriwal further said BJP and Congress party were united due to which they were not attacking each other's candidates.

"From Amethi, Rahul Gandhi, Smriti Irani and Kumar Vishwas are contesting elections. Congress party never attacked Smriti Irani. BJP never attacked Rahul Gandhi. Congress party never attacked Narendra Modi but in Amethi they are attacking Kumar Vishwas and in Varanasi they are attacking me," he said.

"We are enemies of both the parties and both parties are together. If BJP wants to defeat Rahul Gandhi, they should have left this seat empty and Kumar Vishwas would have won the elections but they chose Smriti Irani only to divide the number of votes of Kumar Vishwas," he added.
