Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has refused to withdraw his resignation, which he had tendered on Saturday for JD(U)'s poor show in the just concluded Lok Sabha polls.

Kumar, however, will decide who will be the next Bihar CM.

Among those in the running for the CM’s post are Narendra Narayan Yadav, Vijayendra Yadav and Bashitha Narayan Singh. Law minister Narendra Narayan is considered as the most favoured candidate among them and is expected to be crowned as the new CM later today. He is considered close to party president Sharad Yadav.

Earlier today, JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav said, "The decision (Nitish Kumar's resignation) is in favour of the nation, the party and Nitish ji. It was a difficult decision but is final and right."
