A model code of conduct violation case was registered against Khurshid on March 24 for arranging tricycle and solar lights distribution through Jakir Hussain trust here.
"On directives of EC, inquiry was conducted by Block development officers of Nawabganj and Kayamganj but no proof has been found against Khurshid's Trust. EC has been informed about it," Additional District Magistrate Prabhunath Singh told PTI.
Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police Alankrita Singh said that clean chit has been given to seven SHOs against whom Khurshid's wife Louise had made allegations of being biased.
"The EC has been informed about this", she said.
Louise had on March 29 alleged that seven SHOs, giving their names, were biased toward the ruling party and were working as their "agents".
