The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi focused on "poverty" issue during his Chhattisgarh visit. Literally, not for eradication commitment but to score over his opponent Congress.

"Poor's house has become a tourist destination for the Congress," Modi said while addressing an election meeting in Durg Lok Sabha constituency Sunday afternoon. BJP's Saroj Pandey had been pitted against Congress candidate Tamradwaj Sahu in the constituency that would go to the polls on April 24.

Modi said he never had the wish to visit poor's house and pose for photograph.

"I was born in a poor family and Congress party was unable to digest it," he said, adding that the focus of Congress campaign had been centered on finding a solution to "Modi".

Taking a dig at the Gandhi family, Modi said the youth in the country were struggling for employment.

"People do not have job, but the 'Jija ji' got a one," Modi said without naming any person. The Congress party was least bothered about the welfare of the people.

Asserting that the Congress would face a humiliating defeat in the general elections, Modi said the number of party's (Congress) Member of Parliament in many states would be confined to a single digit.
