Bollywood item girl Rakhi Sawant is all set to contest Lok Sabha elections from Mumbai North West Constituency. In a press conference held today, Sawant said that she has  always fought for people's right and will keep this fight on.

“I will fight from Mumbai North-West constituency against Congress leader Gurudas Kamat, Gajanan Kirtikar from Shiv Sena, Mayank Gandhi from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mahesh Manjrekar from MNS and Kamal Khan (KRK) from Samajwadi party," said Sawant.

She is likely to launch a party with a green chilly as its symbol and told reporters here that she will file her nomination on March 29. "Ihave quit Bollywood to serve people and don't care what people think of me. My agenda is very clear about my future plans," added Sawant.

The 35-year old actress and dancer who has appeared in 30 plus films in Hindi, Marathi and Tamil apart from several item numbers in Hindi, Bengali  and South-Indian films has also been a part of reality shows like Big Boss, Nach Baliye, Rakhi Ka Swayamvar among others.

Sawant said that she will launch a door-to-door campaign to get support of people. “I am keen to contest from Mumbai North-West. I am leaving my film industry for people and will give tough competition to other contestants,” explained Sawant.
