Accusing Dravidian majors DMK and AIADMK of "cheating" voters by offering freebies, DMDK said Saturday that alliance led by it would only focus on development and fulfill the basic needs of people.

"Our manifesto will have schemes for the development of the state and the people and will not be like the election manifesto of DMK or AIADMK in the previous elections," DMDK women's wing secretary and wife of party founder Vijayakant said.

Premalatha, who earlier offered worship at the Nellaiappar temple here, said, "We will look into the needs of the people and act accordingly."
