Karnataka-based Corporation Bank has set a business target of Rs 5 lakh crore by 2014, its top official said today.
"During the current fiscal it targets to achieve Rs 2 lakh crore business and by 2014 we want to touch Rs 5 lakh crore," bank Chairman and Managing Director Ramnath Pradeep told reporters here during the launch of festival bonanza offer of retail products.
He said the public sector bank is growing at 25 per cent and is going in for major expansion. It proposes to open at least 200 branches every year for the next five years.
The bank had crossed the Rs 1.50 lakh crore mark during the last fiscal, registering a growth of 27.30 per cent.
