Hsbc To Take Over Bnp Retail Unit

HSBC is taking over the retail banking business of BNP Paribas India. BNP Paribas was in talks with foreign banks and private Indian banks to sell its retail assets and liabilities. The list included ABN Amro, StanChart and HDFC Bank. HSBC has clinched the deal.
