Showing its solidarity with the staff of troubled Satyam Computer, the country's top private sector lender ICICI Bank today said it has retained the credit limit of its customers working at the scam-ridden IT firm.
"ICICI Bank would like to point out that credit limits are dynamic and are revised based on changing environment. However, in case of Satyam employees, the bank has retained the credit limit," the bank said in a statement to PTI.
Earlier this week, the government-appointed board of Satyam had asked the banks to support the employees of Satyam.
HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh, a member in the Satyam board, asked bankers to go soft on Satyam employees and even support them.
