Foreign currency assets fall by $1.98 bn to $310.35 bn

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s foreign exchange reserves fell $2.06 billion to $335.73 billion in the week ended March 13, show data released on Friday.  Foreign currency assets, a key component, fell $1.98 billion to $310.35 billion. During the week, gold reserves remained unchanged at $19.84 billion.

For the week under review, special drawing rights  fell $60.8 million to $3.96 billion, while India’s reserve position with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was down $27.1 million to $1.6 billion.
