• The spot rupee opened at 43.51/53 and closed at 43.51/52 per dollar.
• The six month and one year dollars ended at 1.32 per cent and 1.20 per cent, respectively.

Sentiment: Bullish

• Prices of government securities rallied following aggressive bidding at the auction on Tuesday.
• Prices of medium and long-term papers rose by 80 paise to Re 1 whereas short-term issues moved 50-60 paise.
• The ten-year benchmark yield closed at 6.92/93 per cent.
• Call rates ruled at 4.90/95 per cent with reverse bids were at Rs 23,000 crore.
• The RBI today extended the timing of the NDS settlement system to 6.15 p.m. as against the normal time of 5.30 percent following the introduction of T+0 settlement today.
