Rupee weak in morning trades

This is due to dollar buying by OMCs

The rupee was trading marginally weak in morning due to dollar buying by oil marketing companies.

At 10:35AM the rupee was trading at Rs 61.21 compared with previous close of Rs 61.14 per dollar.

Equity indices are in the red and that is also affecting the rupee.
Meanwhile, the BSE benchmark index Sensex fell 49.33 points, or 0.23%, to 21,277.09 in early trade today.
