Chairman COSC & CAS Air Chief Marshal Arup Raha leaves for a two day visit to Mumbai

On reaching Mumbai, the Air Chief will visit Indian Naval Ship (INS) Shikra which provides Air support to the Indian Navy and HQ Western Naval Command (WNC) where he will be received by Vice Admiral AK Karve, Chief of Staff (COS) and other defence dignitaries. The Air Chief will interact with Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Western Naval Command Vice Admiral Anil Chopra. Here, he will be briefed about the ongoing issues pertaining to the Armed Forces. He will also visit Indian Naval Ship (INS) Viraat where he will be given a presentation on the Op preparedness of the Navy. A Visit to HQ Maritime Air Operations (MAO) which is tasked with coordination of the joint Maritime Air Operations of the Indian Air Force ((IAF) and Indian Navy, is also scheduled. An interaction with personnel of Madh Island is planned thereafter. This will be followed by a visit by the Air Chief to INS Hamla which is a Logistics Training Establishment of the Indian Navy.
