India and China have agreed that the Joint Working Group established to promote facilitation in the film sector would meet on the sidelines of IFFI 2014 at Goa. The proposed meeting would involve the stakeholders from both the countries in an attempt to concretise cooperation in the film sector with specific proposals and projects. This decision was taken at the meeting between I&B Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar and Mr Cai Fuchao, Minister for State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT), here today. Both the Ministers also agreed that the proposed meeting would be an important step towards identifying key deliverables and a common roadmap to strengthen bilateral cooperation in areas related to films and audio-visual production. Both the key principals agreed to work within an institutional time frame in the light of the audio visual co-production agreement signed today as part of Chinese President Mr. Xi Jinping's visit to India.
