Swapping of KG-D6 gas being supplied to RCF Units in Maharashtra with RLNG allowed, facilitating supply of additional gas to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

Department of Fertilizers has allowed swapping of KG-D6 gas presently being supplied to Rashtriya Chemicals and fertilizers (RCF) Units located in Maharashtra with Regasified Liquid Natural Gas (RLNG), thereby facilitating supply of additional gas volume to the tune of 2.2 MMSCMD to Andhra Pradesh(AP) and Telangana states. With the approval of this 2.2 MMSCMD (swapping of KG-D6 gas), 450 MW power can be generated from the Gas Independent Power Producers(IPP) in which Telangana will have a share of 242 MW (53.89%) and Andhra Pradesh share will be about 208 MW.
