Union Home Minister visits Coast Guard at Porbandar

Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh visited Coast Guard at Porbandar today to review the Coastal Security mechanism and preparedness of security forces along the international border. The Home Minister also visited the Coast Guard District Headquarters at Porbandar. Inspector General Kuldip Singh Sheoran, Commander Coast Guard Region North-West briefed the Home Minister about the Coastal security arrangements, force level and joint coastal patrol mechanism being undertaken by the Coast Guard to strengthen the coastal defence of Gujarat, which has the coastline of 1600 km.
