Pak court adjourns Mumbai attacks case till April 30

Out of about 60 witnesses, the court has so far completed cross examination of 32 prosecution witnesses

A Pakistani anti-terrorism court conducting the trial of the seven accused in the Mumbai attacks, today adjourned the hearing till April 30 after the prosecution withdrew four witnesses.

The four witnesses withdrawn included two of the Federal Investigation Agency and two private individuals who were scheduled to testify today before the court, sources told PTI.

It was not known why the witnesses were withdrawn.

Following this, the anti-terrorism court issued summons for other witnesses for the next hearing to be held on April 30.

The hearing today took place after a gap of two weeks.

Lashkar-e-Taiba operations commander Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, Abdul Wajid, Mazhar Iqbal, Hamad Amin Sadiq, Shahid Jameel Riaz, Jamil Ahmed and Anjum have been charged with planning, financing and executing the attacks in India's financial capital that killed 166 people in November, 2008.

All the accused are jailed in Adiala prison.
