Arijit Gupta has been appointed as creative head - art, FCB Ulka, Delhi. He will partner with Vasudha Misra to lead the creative team in Delhi. Gupta has more than 20 years of experience and has worked on well-known brands such as Maruti, Nestle, Thums Up, LG, Bacardi, Idea and many more. Gupta began his career with Lintas, New Delhi. And has also worked with Leo Burnett.

Brand builder

Leo Burnett India has promoted Ajeeta Bharadwaj to the role of planning head, Mumbai. Bharadwaj, who was previously executive planning director, will report to Dheeraj Sinha, chief strategy officer - South Asia, Leo Burnett. She has 15 years of experience in brand planning and strategy and has been involved with brands such as HDFC Life, P&G, Tata Sampann, Emami, Star Plus, Heinz, Coke, Sony Entertainment Television, CavinKare, Anchor, AXN, Sony Pix, Godrej, Qi Spine Clinic and Fiat.

Calling card

Telecom industry veteran Arun Sarin has joined Truecaller's advisory board. In the past, Sarin has served as the global chief executive officer of Vodafone. With his global experience, Sarin will be focusing on supporting and advising the company on the overall strategy. Truecaller offers services such as caller ID, spam detection and search. Headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Truecaller was founded in 2009 by Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam. The key investors in the company include Sequoia Capital, Atomico and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers.

Steering software

Kulmeet Bawa has been elevated to the position of managing director (MD) of Adobe South Asia and India. The move follows the resignation of Umang Bedi.

Bawa, who was head of sales for Adobe in India, will take over as MD from June 24. He will report to Paul Robson, president of Adobe Asia Pacific. In his new role Bawa will lead the company's customer-facing engagements in India, while Shanmugh Natarajan, executive director for Adobe India and vice-president, engineering, digital media, will continue to provide site leadership to Adobe India.
