BFSI & Services were the sectors which made the highest number of internship offers, at 24 per cent and 17 per cent respectively, at the campus while Start-ups too found growing interest among students compared to previous years, said a statement by IIM Ranchi. Healthcare too saw active participation at about eight per cent of total offers at IIM Ranchi.
The institute witnessed a 47 per cent increase in new companies recruited in numbers across all sectors .
The highest stipend offered was Rs 150,000 while the average stood out to be at Rs 45,800.
Finance and marketing remained the most sought after choices among students. In Finance, IIM Ranchi continued to attract some of the biggest names in the industry such as JP Morgan, ICICI, RBI, Fitch Ratings, Phillip Capital, Aditya Birla Financial Services, Kotak Mahindra, SBI, CCIL, Singhi Advisors offered roles like front-end Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance Advisory, Corporate Banking, Risk Management, Project Finance, Research, Investments and Sales.
On marketing domain, some of the names that came to the campus include MTR, Berger Paints, RPG Group, HT Media, Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting, Decathlon, Hero, Becton Dickinson, Eveready, Greenply, Tupperware, JK Lakshmi.
