IIMB course at Infy Chennai

Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, (IIMB) and Infosys will offer IIMB's post graduate programme in software enterprise management (PGSM) at Infosys' campus in Mahindra City, Chennai.
 
The programme will be open to software engineers from any company. It will start from the academic year 2005-06, an Infosys release said.
 
Selection for the first batch of 45 students will be through a special PGSM admission test to be conducted in Chennai on March 20. For the following batches, candidates will be selected on the basis of CAT or GMAT scores, the release said.
 
Abhay Ojha, a professor at IIMB said the programme, running from 1998 in Bangalore, aimed to impart managerial skills to engineers.
 
Kris Gopalakrishnan, chief operating officer of Infosys said, the company will continue to build strong ties with academia. This programme, will provide executive management education to middle and senior-level IT professionals, he said.
 
Classes in Chennai will be conducted using two-way video and audio along with auxiliary technologies supporting interaction between faculty members and students in Chennai and Bangalore.
