IIM Kozhikode (IIMK) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Yale University to launch the Yale India Leadership program. This agreement will facilitate setting up a Centre of Excellence in Academic Leadership (CEAL) at the IIMK campus.
The MoU was signed by Richard Levin, president of Yale University, and Prof Debashis Chatterjee, IIMK director, and will come into effect from January 1, 2011. With this, IIMK would effectively put Kerala on the global education map and will become a hub for training national and international faculty, deans, directors and vice chancellors. Yale University will collaborate with IIMK to launch a series of exchange programmes in academic leadership.
According to the agreement, the Institute will appoint two members to a Joint Management Committee to supervise the collaborative efforts.
