Ajanta Pharma turns ex-bonus, stock soars over 10%
The company has fixed September 18 as the record date for 1:2 bonus issue.
SI Reporter Mumbai Ajanta Pharma has rallied over 10% to Rs 687 in early morning deals on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Shares of pharmaceutical company have turned ex-bonus today.
The company has fixed September 18, 2013 as the record date for the purpose of issue of bonus equity shares in the ratio of one new fully paid-up equity shares of Rs 5 each for every two fully paid-up shares held.
The stock opened at Rs 632 and hit a high of Rs 702 so far. A combined around 74,000 shares change hands on the counter so far against an average sub one lakh shares that were traded before ex-bonus.
The stock hit 52-week low of Rs 236 in November last year and 52-week high of Rs 785 in July this year.
