This project forms part of NTPC Ltd's Bulk 800MW tender.
Under the scope of the contract, Alstom - the sole licensor for BHEL supercritical technology - will design the 800MW supercritical boilers and supply identified pressure parts along with windboxes, pulverizers and airpreheater components, ALSTOM India said in a statement.
Out of the entire aforesaid contract, ALSTOM India Limited's scope of work would be approximately Rs 380 crore, it added.
The stock opened at Rs 356 and touched a high of Rs 364 on the BSE. A combined around 52,000 shares have changed hands on the counter so far on the BSE and NSE.
