Ashok Leyland stock up 0.3%

Rise followed FM's announcement of Rs 14,873 crore for JNURM programme

Ashok Leyland stock price was up by 0.30%, moments after the Finance Minister P Chidamabaram announced substantial increase in the budget for Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNURM) programme.

In his budget speech the Finance Minister said the allocation for the programme is Rs 14,873 crore to buy 10,000 buses.

This will be mainly for hill states, said the Finance Minister.

Ashok Leyland's share price up by 0.30% to Rs 22.80.
