Asian markets gain in early trades

Taking cues from the US developments overnight, the Asian markets have opened in the green.

Hang Seng is quoting at 23,280, stronger by 158 points or 0.6% and the Nikkei has opened at 9,469, higher by 80 points or 0.8%.

Seoul Composite is quoting at 1,872, up by four points or 0.2%, Taiwan Weighted is at 8,094,gaining four points or 0.05% and Straits
Times is at 3,176, up 27 points or 0.8%.

Shanghai Composite is at 2,851, adding 10 points or 0.3%.
