BGR Energy Systems hits a record low

The stock has fallen 69% from its 52-week high of Rs 297 touched on October 5 last year.

BGR Energy Systems has tanked 11% to Rs 93.40 on back of heavy volumes on the Bombay Stock Exchange.The stock opened at Rs 104 and touched a record low of Rs 91 on BSE. A combined 422,402 shares have changed hands on the counter till early noon deals against an average sub 200,000 share that were traded daily in past two weeks on BSE and NSE.

The company informed the stock exchanges regarding the sudden and sad demise of Mr. B. G. Raghupathy, founder, chairman and managing director of the company on July 28, 2013.

BGR Energy is an EPC and Balance of Plant (BoP) engineering and contracting company in the power sector.

Meanwhile, the stock of the company engaged in capital goods segment, has fallen 69% from its 52-week high of Rs 297 touched on October 5 last year.
