BHEL zooms on bonus issue move

The stock of India's leading engineering company BHEL rose ahead of its issue of bonus shares at 1:1. The stock opened at Rs 2,723.75 and touched a life-time high of Rs 2,889.9 before closing with a gain of nearly 4.9 per cent at Rs 2,856.2.

The company had recently declared June 1 as date for bonus issue at 1 share for every share held in the company.
