Suzlon Energy, the wind power generator on Wednesday said that its billionaire promoter Tulsi R Tanti, along with the other members of the promoter group, has sold 30 million shares of the company representing a 2 per cent paid up capital of the company.
The company did not disclose the price at which the shares have been sold and to whom the promoters sold the shares.
The stock of the company was down by 2.72 per cent to Rs78.65 a share post the announcement at 12.20 pm.
At this price the promoters would have raised about Rs236 crore. Post the sale of the shares, the promoter group is left with a 63.82 per cent stake in the company.
