Ceat, Tata Elxsi zoom on heavy volumes

Shares of tyre maker Ceat and information technology firm Tata Elxsi has soared over 15% on back of heavy volumes.
Tata Elxsi, a Tata Group Company, has zoomed 17% to Rs 1,022, also its record high on BSE. Till 1459 hours, a combined 4.10 million shares representing 13% of total equity of the company changed hands on BSE and NSE.
Ceat has soared 16% to Rs 835 on BSE. The stock opened at Rs 723 and hit high of Rs 842 so far. The trading volumes on the counter jumped over five-fold with a combined 3.05 million shares changed hands on the counter on BSE and NSE.
