Castor meal prices have declined sharply during the previous month on the back of lower off-take from South Korea. Prices are currently hovering at Rs 6,450 a tonne, lower 10 per cent year-on-year. Recent pick-up in export demand to South Korea should support the prices of meal in the spot market. Meal prices are expected to trade towards Rs 6,750 a tonne in the coming days.
Groundnut prices in Junagadh are currently trading at Rs 755 per 20 kg. Prices declined sharply in the past month due to the arrival pressure. Prices are, however, expected to witness recovery and could trade higher towards Rs 790 per 20 kg, tracking steady demand.
