Fortis Healthcare (India) has moved up more than 5% to Rs 155 after the company board approved the consolidation of Singapore-based Fortis Healthcare International Pte Limited with itself.
“The board also proposed to rename the Company as Fortis Healthcare Limited in order to align with the new strategy to consolidate the Fortis Group's healthcare services business across the Asia-Pacific region, subject to necessary approvals," the pharmaceutical company said in a filing the stock exchanges.
A combined 844,820 shares have changed hands on the counter till 1116 hours, as against an average around 300,000 shares traded daily in past two weeks on the NSE and the BSE.
