Geometric hits record high; surges over 50% in one-month

A combined 3.47 million shares representing 5.4% of total equity of Geometric have changed hands till 1257 hours on BSE and NSE.

Geometric has rallied 10% to Rs 183, also its record high on BSE, in afternoon trade on back of heavy volumes.

A combined 3.47 million shares representing 5.4% of total equity of Geometric have changed hands on the counter till 1257 hours on BSE and NSE.

In past one month, shares of Godrej-owned Company specializes in the domain of engineering solutions, services and technologies has rallied 53% from Rs 119 on February 10, 2015. The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex rose 1.3%, while S&P BSE IT sector index gained 2% during the same period.

Rakesh Jhunjhunwala and his wife Rekha Jhunjhunwala collectively held 19% stake in Geometric as of December 31, 2014, making them the largest non-promoter shareholders of the public listed company.

The promoters Godrej & Boyce Mfg Company Ltd and others held a combined 38.46% stake in Geometric, the shareholding pattern data shows.

In a notice to the stock exchanges on February 24, the company said pursuant to the code of conduct for prevention of insider trading of the company, the trading window for dealing in shares of the company will remain closed w.e.f. March 01, 2015 upto April 28, 2015 (both days inclusive), for all directors, officers, designated employees and all other employees of the company and its subsidiaries.
