Guarseed prices improved by Rs 15 to Rs 2,240 per quintal in futures trade today on fresh buying by traders.
Marketmen said traders created fresh commitments on the back of firm spot market sentiment, prices gained on short supply and better offtake.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange counter, guarseed prices for delivery in November moved up by Rs 15, or 0.67 per cent, to Rs 2240 per quintal, with an open interest of 1,540 lots.
Current August-month contract also went up by Rs 5, or 0.23 per cent, to Rs 2,181 per quintal, with an open interest of 51,160 lots.
