A steady to firm trend was noticed in the wholesale jaggery market today, as gur prices ruled steady in Delhi, while gur raskat and chakku rose by Rs 50 per quintal in Muzzafarnagar on increased buying by stockists.
Marketmen said increased buying by stockists ahead of festival season and disruption in supply due to rains, pushed up raskat and chakku prices.
At Muzzafarnagar, gur raskat gained Rs 50 to Rs 1,950- 2,000, while chakku edged upto Rs 2,375-2,550 from Rs 2,375- 2,500 per quintal.

Chakku Rs 2,800-2,900, Pedi Rs 2,950-3,000 and Dhayya N.T., shakkar Rs 3,100-3,200
In Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 1,950-2,000, chakku Rs 2,375-2,550 and Khurpa N.T
In Muradnagar: Pedi 2,800-2,850 and Dhaya N.A
