Gur rules steady in narrow movements
There was not much activity in the wholesale jaggery market today as prices moved in a narrow range in restricted buying activity against adequate stocks and settled around previous levels.
A similar trend was noticed in Muzzafarnagar and Muradnagar markets.
Traders said adequate stocks position against restricted buying by stockists and local parties mainly kept gur prices steady.
Following were today's quotations per quintal:
Chakku Rs 2,850-2,950, pedi Rs 3,050-3,150, Dhayya Rs 3,300-3,400, and Shakkar Rs 3,200-3,300
Muzaffarnagar: Raskat Rs 2,350-2,450, chakku Rs 2,450-2,525 and Khurpa N.T
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,750-2,800 and Dhaya Rs NA
